Superior Lobe Chapter
The Superior Lobe Chapter was formed in 2001. The chapter meets
monthly at the University of Wisconsin-Barron County in Rice Lake.
The chapter maintains approximately 50 miles of Trail in Rusk, Barron, Washburn and Burnett counties and sponsors seasonal hikes, including snowshoe hikes, bird walks, the Fall Adventure Weekend, Tuscobia Trailfest and the Woolly Mammoth Classic Run/Walk.
The chapter also offers the "Superior Lobetrotter" award to hikers who pre-register and complete all 48 miles of Ice Age Trail from CTH-F in Rusk County to Lake 32 Rd. in Burnett County. The Superior Lobetrotter Guide can be helpful in getting started. For more information on becoming a Superior Lobetrotter, contact program coordinator Toni Dougherty (715-637-5011).
You can stay up to date with the latest chapter news by downloading the latest issue of the chapter's newsletter, The Outwash. Check the chapter's online events calandar for details on upcoming events.
